The Rivergate I've lived at for over a year has not had any of the problems I'm reading. I've put in more than a few workorders from my laundry room doors falling off track, to a running toilet, to a not so cold a/c and they've all been handled quickly. I've seen a couple of bugs, and called the girls in the office, and somebody sprayed that same week. The gate works--it's delayed so people do roll the dice and come behind you sometimes, but that's their choice...at least it makes it harder for people to get in. I've got a child, and I've never seen the cops out here, or heard fights going on...People aren't all out in the parking lot at all hours being loud.

I work late nights, and feel fine leaving my wife and child here while I work.

My rent did go up when I renewed, but I still pay less than a friend of mine in an equally as nice complex. They do run specials, but doesn't every apartment complex'

I don't know, I like it here. They do a lot to make it look good here, and things are in good working order. It's quiet, and from what I've seen they are trying to make it better all the time.

I've recommended Rivergate to a couple of people and they still live here after a little over a year--long story short--I don't see what the previous poster(s) were seeing. I like it here, and I've lived all over Columbia.

It's called: different people have different experiences. It doesn't make your experience any more true or right just because it's been positive. If you'd gone through even half of the things these people have, you'd be writing about it, too. And if you file through all of the comments, you'll see that the majority are negative. You may just live in a part of the complex where you don't see the crime happening; and if you work nights, how could you know that people aren't in the parking lot at all hours? It makes no sense. People should have a clear view of what they're getting into when they sign a lease, so kudos to all of you who've been kind enough to share your experiences - good AND bad.
