My cousin used to stay at Stone Ridge a few years ago and I thought the layout of the apartment was great! Now I live here myself. With the new management I can tell a lot has changed. The layout is still the same great layout, but they added features to the apartments that have never been there before and they have included new rooms for the apartment community! The pool is nice and clean and never really crowded at all. I can currently say I've never once heard my neighbors so I don't know what those other reviews are talking about. When maintenance came, he fixed everything that day. The staff is working hard to bring the place up-to-date. Yes it is an older apartment complex, so it is taking time to get with the newer ones. As far as pests go, this is South Carolina, you are going to see Palmetto bugs every now and then. They are NOT roaches! I've yet to see one roach or a mouse. The staff has these monthly one-page newsletters sort-of mix-mingles for the residents that they provide. If you paid a hundred dollars less, then you can leave at one of the new apt. complexes that were just built, but you will have 3 other room mates and o yes, a tiny dorm-sized room, o and did I mention, you would have to share all common spaces (very crowded)! (I know this from my current roommate) Or you can split the rent, and pay less, but have a bigger place and more privacy. You electricity bill is all on how you use your stuff. Just like any other place you go to. Overall, it's you get what you pay for. And for those of us who don't like crowded scenes but still want to have a nice place to come home to that's close to everything, it's great!

So three people who have lived at Stone Ridge the same amount of time all write reviews on the same day, commenting on the exact same things (new management, prices and specials, etc). No, that's not fishy at all. EIther you are management trying to bump up your score on this website, or you are getting an incentive from management to do so. I can't speak for the current management, but Stone Ridge changed hands 3 times in the 2 years we lived there, and the new management would never honor the deal the previous management gave us. I think it's changed hands 2 more times since we left (September 2008). So how long before a new management company comes in again? 3 months? 6?
