Seriously consider this one

I wasn't here when the other person claimed her/his car was broken into. I haven't experienced any safety issues and it's hard to imagine them happening. Truth said though, the general public of Columbia is out there. That's a concern for all apt. complexes. They are currently putting in gates around the whole community. I come in late a lot and a cop is often sitting in the parking lot keeping a watch. We're right next to a school, so I'd bet we're on the cops' rounds in general. I love my apartment. It's well built and well kept. I have a 60 pound dog and it's great to be in a place that welcomes animals. They have little trash cans around for the poop-scoop issue. I've never seen a neighborhood dog intentionally off the leash. Only once have I seen one 'break-out' and he was a sweety and quickly taken care of. Very animal friendly - though if you don't have dogs, don't worry. You won't hear enough barking to sneeze at. There is a great mixture of age groups and ethnic groups. There are some pretty good people here. There are children and families, older couples, some grad students like me, and some uniforms from Ft. Jackson too. (That'll make you feel safe.) This area of Columbia is ideal. In the history of Cola, it's relatively a newer area to be built up. It doesn't have the traffic horror of Harbison Blvd or the St. Andrews area (Major Plus - those places have real traffic issues). Plenty of nice places to shop nearby. Quick access to I-20, I-77, and 277 which will take you straight to bull street downtown. Sesqui State Park is very close - which my dog really enjoys. Great way to get outside on a pretty day. I'm so happy that I kept shopping around and found this place. It's well worth checking out.
