Too expensive for a "not bad" apartment

The Rapids is nice enough. There isn't anything special about it, but there isn't anything wrong with it either. It's generally quiet except maybe on Friday or Satruday nights occasionally. The pool is pretty nice and well kept, and I normally never have a problem with parking. My building (1) is far enough away from the train tracks that I never hear the train. My main complaint is the staff. The office staff are completely useless and they turn over the staff about once every 6 months, so any problem you finally resolved with one manager, in a few months is a problem again with another manager. Also, the maintenance sucks. I had to threaten to terminate my lease (by putting them on "Notice to Repair" in writing, which by SC law requires them to fix it or cancel the lease within 14 days, FYI--use it, it works, look it up in the law library at USC). Once the disposal was fixed they didn't do it right and my kitchen subsequently flooded, but they came out and cleaned my kitchen and fixed the glitch. Anyways, like I said, it is about average for any other college-area apartment complex, but way more expensive (I pay 645 for a one bedroom, but that includes cable, water, and sewage).
