I should have known I would have problems w/ this complex from the start! That?s why I signed a 6 month lease. When I applied, it took the girl who worked in the office almost 2 weeks to process my application. This is after she said it would only take 24 hrs. She tried to put me in an apt that was a complete mess on the outside. I went to look at the apt before I signed the lease. The wood on the balcony floor was completely eaten through & rotten. The storage closet on the balcony had an old rusty water heater in it that was falling out of the closet. I told the girl that I wanted a better apt. She put me in an apt that was closer to the front. There was no lock on the door when I looked at it and the 1st floor bathroom?s ceiling had a HUGE hole in it. The girl from the office said it was b/c the previous tenent had left her washer & dryer connections on and flooded the place. They ended up replacing the ceiling. The place was a mess. They had not cleaned it since the last girl left. They didn?t have my apartment ready. They offered to switch me to another apt but by this time, I had already had my utilities and mail switched over to the new apartment. There are two entrances to Three Rivers. The night I moved in, a drunk couple parked their car next to my U Haul and continuously blew their horn because the U Haul was blocking their way. I told them all they had to do was turn around and go another way and they kept saying they didn?t want to. We ended up getting in a shouting/cursing match and it would have escalated probably if my mom hadn?t moved the U-haul, which made it harder for us to get my furniture out. I had 4 pages of things that needed to be fixed. From my door not being able to lock, carpet dirty, the tiles on the floor had mildew on them, the bathrooms were NASTY. The space between the tub & toilet had a large amount of mold and mildew. It was so gross to remove it. My AC vents wouldn?t open. I had no shower curtain rods. Doors didn?t have door knobs, there were holes in my doors, the floors creaked horribly, they have a HORRIBLE insect problem. There was never a time that I went in to the living room & didn?t see at least 2 or 3 waterbugs. I sprayed the whole apartment with Raid and ended up still seeing waterbugs, they were just half way dead. The water faucet was broken. My AC died one day and it turns out because a lot of ants had gotten into the unit. A foul smell was in the apartment for a week all of a sudden. When I complained to the office, they came out and fixed it but never said what it was or where it came from. My top rack in my oven kept getting stuck when I tried to pull it out, the stove was supposed to be replace & wasn?t even after I moved. The cabinets in the kitchen were all a different color and dirty (off white, dirty white, oil stains). The previous resident?s trash was still in the bathroom sink cabinets and storage closets outside. I finally complained to Intermark Management. Well, that got 2 pages of the 4 pages of problems fixed. They also fired 3 different property managers while I was there and three different maint. supervisors (there was only one maint. person and he was the supervisor). In the end, I got my whole deposit back b/c I left the apt in WAY better shape than I got it. Also, they gave me half off my last month?s rent b/c until the very end, not everything was fixed. These apartments could be GREAT to live in, but they sorely need to be renovated. Also, the laundry facility was ALWAYS nasty with dead bugs all over and never swept or mopped. Someone actually broke the window out of the laundry facility & I guess broke into it for whatever reason. The swimming pool water was greenish brown and looked more like a swamp! Please don?t move into these apartments until they do some SERIOUS renovations. When my boyfriend and I were moving, he had to stay out with the U Haul truck because there were people gathering around looking in our U Haul like they wanted to steal something. The affordable townhouse living is cool, but it?s not worth the hassle you?ll have in the end. By the way, this review doesn?t even include all the problems, but it?s so long I?m sure you get the point!
