So... I have lived here for almost a year and although I thought I would like it when I moved here, I have found that I don't like stairs as much as I thought. There is a lot of room here but I don't like the fact that it's split into 3 levels. It's usually quiet, which is nice. However they are starting to renovate some apartments and they can be loud early in the morning. Maintenance can be really slow and they tend not to fix the problem the first time. They don't even leave a note saying that they have been there to fix the problem so we never know if it's been fixed or not. Parking is another issue. I hate coming home at 9 or 10 on the weekend and someone's having a party leaving the residents no where to park. The place is just old and is falling apart. The showers look gross. It's a real pain to move in b/c the stairs wind around and so it's really hard to get the furniture upstairs. We ended up having to tie a rope around my mattress, box springs, and futon to lift up to the third floor balcony. However, the management is GREAT! Super nice people in the office! Really some of the best that I've delt with. I just wish that our apt. had been renovated before we moved in. I think if you can get a renovated apt. it might not be so bad.
