I lived in 'lower Sedgefield' (the area back near the office) for about 5 months mid-August to January. It was aweful. We made the best of it, but you could constantly hear my neighbors phone ring. The heat was aweful. Even in the winter (yes, 50-60 degrees out) the apartment was near 75-80 degrees.

I moved to 'upper Sedgefield' when my first roommate moved and it was not any better (January-June). Sure, it felt a little safer near the top, but you could hear the traffic from Second Loop all the time. It was nearly impossible to turn left out of the complex during the day. We lived on the first floor and we could hear the neighbors above us (don't ask) in the middle of the night. There were also kids running around ALL THE TIME in our yard and a lot of them would run right up on our little cememnt slab/porch. We even had a guy who would park his car IN THE GRASS so that he could wax it.

I remember coming home from work one day and there was a letter stuck in our door about an assult that had taken place in the complex during the day.

The central air is nice, but only because I never felt safe opening the windows. The dishwasher in both buildings left a lot of dirty dishes. The countertops are old and gross. They apparently 'resurfaced' the counter right before we moved in. Resurfaced = painting the counter white. It looked aweful.

You pay the 'non refundable cleaning deposit' and then the regular deposit. The regular deposit will come back fine, the cleaning deposit was a waste. Shortly after I moved in to the first building I vacuumed the carpet and the dirt catcher was FULL of pet hair. Neither me or my roommate had a pet.

As far as the exterminator coming in. I never saw. In upper Sedgefield my roommate had changed the deadbolt on the door when she moved in so that the staff couldn't just walk in. We never had any notices about the door being locked or missing the exterminator.

Look at all of the other reviews and look at the pattern......Before you move here visit the place and talk to the neighbors if you dark. Look around at some other places. You might pay a little more, but it's well worth the expense/roommate to get there.
