Terrible New Manager

I don't know who hired the old fashioned manager. I don't think she knows what a computer is much less how to use one. Everytime I have even the simplest question, she has to talk to her area manager before she can give me an answer. Why can't I just have the area manager's number so I can skip asking her when she does not know the answer. She needs to join the rest of the world in 2006!
