I have lived here for 6 months and it has been OK. I think the worst thing is the parking. If you get home after 7pm you can pretty well count on a long walk. I think alot of people who live here must own two cars each and that makes it tough when the parking area seems to be designed for one car per unit. There are like five cars parked right in front of the building in prime spots that have never moved since I have lived here. I think they are service guy's or border partol guy's and the girls at the office seem to REALLY like them so they have a open pass to do what most others can't do. Just go complain about it and see how you get blown off and told how much the guy's do for us and how we owe them.
I can hear the folks above me but it is usually is just some jumping or running for a few minutes at a time and then I guess the meds kick in and they calm down...I don't think they have any children so who knows.
The kids have a nice play area and I have never had a big problem with them. The people who own pets are another matter. Most are pretty good about picking up their dogs mess but there are a few who NEVER do. Some even let them go up to the bottom floors porch and flower area in front of their windows (thanks to the stretch leash) and drop load as the people under me have told me it has happened four or five times and then they have to pick it up. I have been told that "he alway's does this when I don't have anything to pick it up with" three times. I ask why don't you take them to the pet area where there is little bags for doing the pick up thing instead of the front of the building' No real answer yet. I really like the guy who brings his dog over to our building at 4 or 5 in the morning to unload and then walks away...I have seen him do this 3 times.
The actual apartment is OK...the kitchen is a bit small with not much space. The carpet is very cheap and stains easy. The paint scars easy but can be kept somewhat descent with alot of care. The walls seem a bit thin but most of the time it is quiet.
The girls at the office seem to change out fast. Very friendly when you are looking but you seem to be a bother once you are here and need to speak to them or really deal with them in any way. Very fake acting...female used car salesmen.
The maintence guy's are nice and respond very quickly. It may take several calls to get something fixed right but they are a good group who seem to try hard.
I would recommend the complex. It has a more upside than down...but not a lot.
