I have live in pine lakes for three years. This is the fourth apartment I have lived in and it is by far the worst. Before I moved in they told me that they were installing new carpet and linoleum in the unit. When I moved in it was all old an haggard. And the place had barely been cleaned. They give you a sheet to fill out for your initial walkthrough so they can address any problems. My unit was missing several screens but they never came to replace them. I had to take the neighbors after they moved out. The inspections are RIDICULOUS. They often give you little notice, so if you don't have time to clean, they give you a list of housekeeping chores to do. Basically, they don't want to spend money refurbishing and cleaning apartments between tenants, so they force their residents to do this. It is a huge invasion of privacy to live at this complex. The trash situation is terrible. They removed perfectly functional dumpsters and replaced them with a compactor that has only been a huge problem, always overloading with trash spilling all over. To make it worse the compactor is so far away from most of the unites you get to walk with your heavy trash bag all the way there to see that it's full. At that point you can just add to the pile, or carry it home. Let's not talk about the excessive pet fees. $300 PER pet! Those 5 star reviews there are obviously the management trying to raise their score. Stay away from them unless you you like a really crappy place with no privacy. At Pine Lakes, the Residents come LAST!

I couldnt agree with you more! We have lived here for a little over a year now and one month we had to pay them $985 dollars for rent, a second pet fee (inspection saw our cat) and 35 for one broken blind that you can buy yourself at walmart for 4 bucks! Not to mention the rediculous housekeeping you mentioned (told us, "looks great, please clean ceiling fan") But heaven forbid if you have a request to make about issues...good luck getting that done in a timely fashion, if at all! We had to report our smoke detector not working 3 times before they came to fix it and then tried to charge us for a new one! We absolutely hate it here...not to mention that the rent is going up too...we are currently looking VERY HARD for another place to go...we will not be signing another lease and absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone. I can agree and say there is no privacy, they are cheap, and only pretend to have the residents interest in mind!
