Do not live here unless you want to refurbish the entire apartment when you move out.
You will have to replace the carpet if there ever was a stain on it. We had an accidental spill that was removed but they still said the carpet was not satisfactory and charged us $800 for a new one.
They refused to do a walkthrough while we were still there and wound up fabricating all kinds of damages.
The residents there are a pain in the butt, if you walk around your apartment they call the office, if you hit snooze too many times they call the office.
Oh ya, the manager is about as far from frinedly and understanding as they come. She wouldn't allow a gas grill anywhere on the grounds eventhough the lease said within 15' of a building.

As far as the charges were concerned... what was the outcome after speaking with the staff? I am in a similar situation right now as well, any advice would be helpful!!

The noise from neighbors can be a problem, the floors and walls are very thin. If you want a quiet apartment, then take a top floor. Just watch out for the thin walls. If you have a problem with the noise, then you will have to move because they won't do anything about it.
