I stayed at Brighton Park from Feb. to July. During my time there my roommate and I experienced many problems. Our biggest problem was bugs. We were constantly calling the office to fix this matter. They continued to send someone out to spray but the problem always reoccured. When we were searching for an apartment the reason we chose this one over another was because of that specific problem. However, from the first day that we moved in there were roaches coming out of the fireplace and the master bathroom. We had roaches, palmetto water bugs, and lots of spiders that we were constantly killing. Not only that, but beware whenever you pay your pet fee. Most apts will use that $250 to cover any damages that may occur while the pet is there. Not here though. They also charged me $20.00 bc there was a VERY small spot of something in the fridge. They said that that charge was because we did not clean the fridge whenever we moved out. My dog chewed on the blinds before we moved out and I asked them what the charge would be for them to replace the blinds and they told me 26.00. When I recieved the bill it was 56.00. These people will pretend to be nice and friendly but then as soon as you move out they will screw you over. WATCH OUT IF YOU MOVE IN HERE!!!!!

As far as the charges were concerned... what was the outcome after speaking with the staff? I am in a similar situation right now as well, any advice would be helpful!!

The bugs are a HUGE issue in this complex. Silverfish, cockroaches, various spiders, ants, and house centipedes...just to name a few. They'll spray if you ask them to, but the problem never goes away. Bottom floor apartments are the worse ones for bugs.
