Overall a good experience - pros and cons

I lived at Brighton Park during my first full-time job for 1.5 years on the 3rd floor. Overall it was a good experience, but would possibly reconsider given safety issues towards end of time there.
Pros:
- Apt Condition: The apartments are well maintained on the exterior and interior for the price and for being a 20 y.o. complex; maintenance has been very responsive.
- Convenience: I could walk on a sidewalk within a mile to a local mall, sandwich shop, sports bar, and drive the same distance to a grocery store.
- Floorplan: the 1B floorplans are fairly open and 3rd floor has vaulted ceilings.
- Separate water heater for each apt.
- Staff has been responsive and did not cause any headaches during my move-out.
Cons:
- As with every other complex where I have lived, I received warnings about car break-ins and in fact had a friend whose car was broken into once in a 1.5 year span.
- Aging interiors: my bathroom began to have mold growing beneath the linoleum; since I was about to move out, I did not request maintenance; the living room floor had a concave dip that was not very noticeable.
- Noise: neighbors were not bad but it was common to hear loud music from cars during the night, and cars going over speedbumps could wake you up at night.
