When I was looking for an affordable apartment in Greenville, i thought i found the best option... the price was good, the location was fine and the apartment looked decent from the walk-thru. Once I moved in I realized the real story. My apartment had a major issue with roaches. Then a week later I was attached by bed bugs. Bed bugs are the worst possible thing you could wish on anyone. Imagine that you can't sleep in your own bed at night because bugs will be feasting on your body. I had to go to three different doctors to get diagnosed with bed bug bites. I told the apartment management and they were reluctant to jump on it. The exterminators came to my place 4 different times to exterminate in the course of a month and I was still bothered by bed bugs and small roaches that were infested in the apartment walls.
This was the worst apartment experience in my life. You would have thought i was in a cheap college apartment. The management never followed through and made sure the pest infestation was taken care of. I complained 5 times in one month and even asked them to move me to another apartment. Nothing worked!
I would never recommend this apartment to anyone. Please be aware of the awful property management. Now I m being shunned from other apartments because Brighton Park can't get the bed bugs out of my clothing and bed. I'm going to have to trash my mattress and box springs by my own expense.

Sounds like you brought in the roaches and the bed bugs are from your own bed. and sounds like you need to find a doctor that knows what he is doing should not take 3 of them to tell you what your problem is. Ive been here for 3 years and have never had a problem with any one and I SURE DONT HAVE PROBLEMS WITH BUGS. Sounds like a bunch of BS.

I am planning on moving there and my main concern with any place is bugs, are there really bugs everywhere? More than one person has said that and I do not want to move anywhere where I have to deal with bugs again, its bad enough at my place now in Columbia

Candler98, your crazy and it sounds like you work at Brighton Park. My house that I left to come to Brighton Park didn't have an insect problem and I sure as h@ll didn't have bed-bugs. The moving company sealed my mattress with a plastic bag so I definitely didn't bring the bugs with me.
Poundm, Greenville has a lot of people from different cultures and countries working for the large companies like Flour and GE. I'm assuming they are the ones bringing in bedbugs. Now the roaches has to be a local issue and I wouldn't got to Brighton Park for that reason. I got them to spray at least 2 times in a month and the little roaches, not outside ones, never went away. I think there is an issue at that apartment, especially with the staff.
I'd look at a place like The Vinings at Roper Mountain or Walden Creek. They are both more expensive but you to me you get what you pay for in Greenville.

I lived there for about a year, never saw a roach in my apt... no bed bugs.. but that doesn't mean that they weren't in your apt, could have had nasty people in it prior to you.

Bedbugs are mostly spread through hotel use, if you travel at all, you might have brought them in with you.
I just can't see them hanging around without a host especially since most apts clean their carpets in between rentals.
And no, I don't work for the apt complex, I've never even been to the apts.
