First of all,I want to say that the review on the the board dated 12/9/08 this was written by one of the office staff. There isn't an apartment in this world that good especially here.

Next THIS APARTMENT SUCKS!!!!!

When we moved in, they told us that the community was great and that they kept all solicitors out and that they promised to be proactive on this. Let me see. One day we got solicitors at our door. When we reported to the "Proper" authorities, they stated "I am sorry but we put the signs up and we cannot do anything except that." Wow that sounds different than last time.

Next, when this place was constructed they crossed the meters between us and the neighbors. We now owe 180$ to duke for all the power that we supposedly used but were not billed for. Meanwhile the neighbor gets all her money back and the apartments gets a good rating from her because she is happy. But wait, isn't the apartment responsible for everything that happens within their property'

I approached the manager about this and she did nothing but blame me and duke for the issue. I ask if she would be willing to go 50/50 on this and she said "nope, I won't help."

Wow, they really are great.

Here is another funny thing. They complained to me about the fact that I put trash in the back of my truck to haul it down to the dumpster. They said it was an eye sore and that if they were showing an apartment and the future tenants saw it, they would lose that business opportunity. NOT MY PROBLEM!!! Try putting more than one dumpster in your apartment complex moron.

Next I confronted them about all the people working on their cars which is strictly against the rules. They said "when was this happening'" I said "after 5 or 6"

They said "well that is after hours, we cannot do anything."
How bout you try! Come on. Every complaint I give has been met with sarcastic rude responses. I am in customer service. This is not what you do. You pander to the customer.

STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!!

THESE PEOPLE STEAL AND LIE TO SHUT YOU UP!!!

IN EVERY WAY THEY TAKE ANYONE OVER YOU DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH TIME AND MONEY IS RIDING ON IT!!!!!!

STAY AWAY

thank you

uh the review written on 12/9 was posted by a tenant, me. I lived in the second building across from the pool for six months during an internship. What do you expect Caledon to do about solicitors? You can put up signs at a private residence but that doesn't stop people from knocking on your door. You live in an apartment complex, what do you expect? If trash is such a big deal why wouldn't you put it in the outdoor closet/storage space everyone got? Get a life, if you want more privacy then buy or rent a house.

I agree with the post, they were always rude to me and never took blame for problems that were obviously theirs. Just because its an apartment complex doesn't mean you should be treated like crap.

I live in Caledon Wood, as well! This community has more than 300 apartments, and I'm sure that it is not easy to try to take care of everyone's issues. I have had solicitors at my door, as well. When it happened to me, I called the office, and they tried to find the people to ask them to leave. If I had called the next day....of course there is nothing that can be done because the solicitors are GONE!!! As for the problem with your electric meter. I don't know how many people live in your apartment, but if there is more than one person and your bill was really low, you should have known that there could be a problem. My bill is usually around $60, and I live alone....so a little of the responsibility is yours. As for the issue with the trash in the bed of your truck..I take my household garbage every day.....when I am leaving to go to work.....NOT A BIG DEAL....I can't believe that anyone would think that it's okay to have a truck that has a bed full of garbage. I personally think that you should live in a house.....far away from the city so that you can have all of the junk that you want lying around. I pay a good amount of rent to live here, and I wouldn't want to live in a building where you are.....THAT'S for CERTAIN!!!!

Okay so here we go again with the attack on me. 1st: If you have a problem managing 300 apts, don't take the stupid job okay. 2nd: We didn't wait till the day after to complain about the soliciting, we complain within the same hour. Also, for the third time, it was not the fact that the solicitors were there it was the fact that it took us some time just to get the woman at the office off her butt to attempt to do something. The solicitors were still in the area and she did not even offer to go look for them on her buggy. She was not the only one in the office so it should not have been a problem.THIS GOES OUT TO ALL FUTURE JUDGES OF MY REVIEW!!! GET THIS PART THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULLS AND REMEMBER IT!!!! 3rd: Who in their "right" mind is going to call up duke and complain about a bill being to low. Guess what, when we lived in another apt, we were able to keep the bill in the 30's with no problem. Check your info before you complain about mine. 4th: As far as where you think I should live, I don't give a @#$%. That is not your business and it never will be "anonymous". The fact that the lease does not state whether I can or not is the problem. My truck is not a common way and never will be. I do not appreciate the fact that you have no freaking idea who I am and you feel you have the right to judge me. Model citizen aren't ya? Finally: Have you read the constitution lately? Well I am pretty sure that I can have my opinion and you can as well. So write your own review about the apt and quit attacking mine.

Actually, no, the apartment is in fact NOT responsible for everything that happens within their property. If you have a question about the legalities of an issue (as I would with the electricity), call a lawyer and take a free consultation. What's funny is that from reading these reviews and the comments left, in nearly every complex in the city, you can tell who was generally liked and who was not! You must have pissed somebody off!! I will say kudos to you for having the cajones to leave your name and for not caring if your truck looks like crap. One last bit about the legalities of apartment living- if there is a sign posted, management does not have to do jack crap, the posted sign covers their @ss so they don't HAVE to do anything. If someone comes to your door soliciting, tell them if you see them again you are calling the police yourself. Better yet, why the hell are you answering the door? "Go the *$&K away" usually takes care of solicitors!!
