Halton Place

I like the location and the layout of the apartment, but have had several maintenance issues with my unit. The most recent, and most severe was a leak behind the wall of the shower that caused mold and water damage. After 3 visits by the maintenance staff, it was only getting worse. I'm not sure what they did to try and fix it, but they consistently left the bathroom a mess and the problem persisted. I had to call Sentinel Management in Charlotte in order to get someone to pay any attention to this matter. Finally they agreed to fix it. Because of the serious health risks associated with mold, I insisted that they test for toxic mold. Initially, they agreed, but after rescheduling the test twice, they called it off altogether. They have no legal obligation to test according to the Health Dept. I guess they feel they have no moral obligation to their residents either. I am moving out in two weeks. These people are shamelessly apathetic. The maintenance staff take no pride in their jobs. Save yourself the hassle. Apartments in this area are a dime a dozen. Find somewhere else, anywhere else.
