Good place to live . . .

I've lived in apartments in Ocean Township and Long Branch, NJ; West Palm Baech, FL and Spartanburg, SC and this is by far the best I've been in. I have a 1B/1B accessible unit. It is exactly as the agent, Melisa, promised.
My initial walk-thru revealed a few problems that were noted and are being addressed. Unlike other units where I can hear toilets flush, dishwashers running and rush-hour traffic, in this unit I hear nothing except the children of my neighbor (who is very nice) playing outside.
Now apartment living is what it is. If you have noisy or trashy neighbors it's just part of the package. You don't have to accept it, but as the saying goes, you can't pick your neighbors. Do your homework.
I drove through the complex several times at all hours to get a feel for the neighborhood. It also helped that I had friends who recommended the place.
Yes, there are issues that could have been handled differently, but then again if I wanted perfection I could have built my own house and dealt with the exact same issues at my own expense.
WHEN SEARCHING FOR A NEW APARTMENT:
MAKE A LIST OF YOUR REQUIREMENTS. VISIT SEVERAL UNITS (never settle for the first one on your list)
CHECK CRIME REPORTS.
ASK QUESTIONS.
IF YOU HAVE ISSUES WITH CHILDREN, try to come on a school day when buses are loading/unlaoding.
VISIT ON WEEKENDS/HOLIDAYS/LATE AT NIGHT. EXPLORE. GO TO THE LOCAL GROCERY STORES/SHOPS. Observe the customer base. These will be your neighbors.
If this sounds like a lot of work, it is. The unit you choose will be your home. You want your money's worth and the piece of mind you deserve.
Try this place out. Just be aware, and thankful, that you have choices. x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk
