I have lived here since 1999 and back then it was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful, they did regular pest control, changed air filters, and changed batteries in smoke detectors. Maintenance was done promptly. Since about 2002, things have gone downhill. The rent is very reasonable but the apartments are old and not well maintained. Maybe if they raised the rent and their qualifications for renting here, the community would be less like the ghetto. The walls are very thin, I can hear EVERYTHING my neighbors do and their cigarette smoke comes through the vents so bad, it smells like someone is standing in our living room smoking. People let their kids wander all over the complex and then get mad if you ask the kids to quiet down. Just 2 weeks ago, a police officer knocked on our door at 10:30 pm to request our help retreiving a large knife from the storm drain across from our apartment. Another resident had reported a man she didn't recognize staring at her kids playing and throwing the knife in the drain, then racing off. Not the kind of thing that makes you feel safe. I can't wait to move. I only wish things hadn't deteriorated so bad around here because I really like it when I first moved in.

I can confirm that an incident occurred where children were threatened by a man with a knife. The complex isn't safe, nor is it well-kept. Just because the clubhouse is pretty doesn't mean they give the same attention to the resident buildings.
