I won't restate what has been said (poorly painted walls, appliances older than men, disgusting apartments, bugs, etc). However, I was told that I could paint my apartment when I moved in, or replace the horrible wallpaper that was put up. I was told that if the changes looked nice and were normal, I would not be charged. I professionally painted the entire apartment a very pale beige/off white. I took my time taking out the nasty, smoke stained wallpaper. And wouldn't you know I was charged $250 for "paint change"!!!

I also gave a THREE MONTH notice of leaving. In fact, I bought a house and had moved out, and was still paying my rent to keep up with my lease. When I went to move out, they didn't have my notice (despite me telling one of the "employees" numerous times). I was charged a full month of rent because they lost my notice.

It's unfortunate for the residents and future residents the current office staff is not accountable to their customers. They blame every thing wrong on the management company which is headquartered in Charlotte, NC. If one calls to complain to the managememnt company in NC, one is directed to the customer service supervisor who only relays your complaints instead of trying to resolve them. That is not helping the resident. She states she will forward your complaint to the regional director yet the regional director does not respond to your forwarded e-mails. With contentious companies, a customer is able to directly speak with someone in the corporation who will pass your information on to someone who is willing to resolve your complaint because they WANT to keep your business, not just fill their quota for the month. The present manager was intolerant as a leasing agent and she is now the manager. INCOMPETENCY! Communicating with her is none exsist. She will argue with the residents because of her lack of ability to listen. Her absence the entire Memorial Day weekend asks why.

I am so sorry you experienced this but I am not surprised. As for the bugs, we were notified that pest control would be done quarterly. I notified them that was unacceptable and that I expected monthly treatments to continue, especially since they raised the rent again this year. The head maintenance man is no longer employed. The other maintenance man tries hard but there is a definite language barrier. The leasing manager everyone complained about has been promoted to property manager! Go figure! No announcement as to why the pool was not opened on schedule, i.e., Memorial Day. We want more than anything to move out of here but cannot for the time being due to other issues. In all fairness, this is not the worst place one could live, but for the amount of rent they are charging, you expect better treatment. Our apartment needs painting. They have replaced appliances but have put in low-end, cheap models instead of replacing with equal quality.

Everything everyone says is true. And God forbid a spouse dies and you can't make rent. They sue you for breaking the lease or worse. It is not the place you would want to live for a while. Your lucky they replace your old appliances. I get that their okay. No they are not okay! End of 3rd lease we are moving. Write your letter of moving and make copies. If need be send it certified, they have to sign.
