My husband and I lived at Halcyon for a year (2005 - 2006)and had an over all good expierience. It was our first apartment together and we were very pleased that it was so big (1300 sf) and came with washer/dryer, and a fireplace. Our master bedroom was HUGE! 14X16 I think it was. You get 2 patios one of which they let us screen in so our kitties could be outside. The only drawbacks we had were that the master bath was so dark and the floor in the kitchen was burned from something being spilled out of the oven or something but they let us put down those square tiles you can buy from Garden ridge or Home depot where you just peel and stick each square down and it made it look 100% better. We did have our satellite dish stolen off the patio but was no fault of the office's. Parking was a proplem but not all the time. Just on weekends mostly. We did find a scorpion in our apartment once but the next day they had pest control out to spray. They changed managers while we were there and I do remember the new manager wasn't as friendly but overall we had a good experience for our first apartment. I currently work at an apartment community and whenever anyone is looking for a large apartment with a big master bed I do mention Halcyon to them. But unfortunatly because it's out in Greer, a lot of people don't like living that far from downtown. Not sure how helpful this review will be to anyone since we lived there 3 years ago but thought I'd let people know our experience.
