A Great Place to Live

We lived here for a year and it would have been longer had we not bought our house.
The location is great.
The property was kept clean and well maintained.
The office staff was always friendly and took care of problems promptly.
The laundry room and fitness room were kept neat and all equipment in working order.
We lived towards the back of the complex, and although we could hear the train it wasn't a loud nuissance and it didn't take long to get used to.
Our back patio was next to the pool, however even during the summer the noise was hardly noticeable.
I worked nights and slept during the day and could count the number of times on one hand that I was woken up by the kids playing at the pool (not many).
The office was opened late and on weekends and signed for packages when we weren't home (which was nice since my husband worked from home and spent a lot of time on the road).
We had a problem with a group of just out of high school kids that moved in above us for college.
They would do what sounded like body slams at 3am, and all day and night it sounded like a herd of elephants walking around up stairs.
We also had their cigarette butt's and ashes all over our patio.
The first time we complained it stopped for about a week, the second time was the same thing, the third time the property manager gave us her cell phone number to call at any time during the night.
Luckily the noises stopped at night, but the next time it got bad during the day she came over.
They were there for about a month or two before they were kicked out.
The people before and after them were great, we hardly knew they were there.
Finding a parking space near my building wasn't always easy, but I did notice other buildings didn't seem to have the same problem.
If we were to lose our house today I wouldn't think twice about moving back to Audubon.
Even though I was never able to attend due to my work schedule, I like the idea that they have events and holiday parties for the community to get together.
They offered free food and booze, I believe the only one you ever had to pay for was the New Year's Party, and even then it wasn't expensive.
