My roommate and I moved into Riverland Woods in May, and so far things have been just ok. We were promised new carpet in the apartment but when we moved in the carpet was old, dirty and stained. Our bathrooms and cabinets were not clean, we cleaned them ourselves, and the apartment had been sloppily repainted. I now have paint drippings all over the carpet in my room and on the cabinets in the bathroom. We are supposed to be able to get into the office to retrieve packages at any time during the day or night, but this doesn't happen. My roommate went to retrieve a package at 5:35 one afternoon, 5 minutes after the office closed, and the office staff would not let her in. They opened the door and told her that she would have to come back tomorrow. This can be quite a problem when the office staff is only there from 10-5 when everyone is at work and in school. I've also tried to ask questions regarding undeposited rent checks and they cannot provide me with any answers. The apartment is definately not as convenient as I thought and the noise from the construction behind us in the Retreat is awful! Decent price, but many reasons to look elsewhere
