My husband and I moved out in May of 2005. While staying there our dog tore up a piece of the carpet in the living room. During the walk through, one of the staff members told my husband the pet deposit should cover it and we heard NOTHING of it until now. My husbnd got notice that the amount of $1800 was sent to collections without our notice. Come to find out, they sent the letters to apartment we VACATED and not to the forwarding address we provided. When we inquired about why we were not called we were told they do not have to call people once they move out and they also do not have to talk to us now that it is in collections. It is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous how we were treated. Also as far as to why it was $1800, well the staff member told my husband that they had to replace the carpet with a different color and it did not match. That sound a little bogus to me. There are so many other apartment communities that are wonderful, DO NOT take a chance with this one. You WILL be disappointed.
