I recently moved to SC from Vermont. After owning a home for 21 years I did extensive reasearch on where I would relocate to. Through this site and others I compiled a list of apartments and condos, spent over 3 weeks visiting them all and chose Riverland Woods above all the others.
Riverland Woods is truely a wonderful place to live. Location is everything, and Riverland Woods is a choice location. Minutes from Folley Beach, shopping & Charleston. My apartment is spacious.
The buildings are kept up diligently both externally & internally. Any maintainance issue I have, even if it's a light bulb that needs changing is addressed promptly, usually within 24 hours of my request.
The staff is wonderful! Justin & Jackalyn greet everyone with a smile and have a friendly but efficient attitude. Riverland Woods has community get-togethers and cute contests, as it is very community based. They have even just put in a new outside grill for their residents, as if the large pool, the clubhouse with pool table, free movie loans and always ready cookies weren't enough!
Although this is a pet friendly community, it is a quiet neighborhood. Parking can sometimes be tight around Christmas or a major holiday in a couple of the areas, but I've never had more than a few yards, so I wouldn't be able to say that it's ever been a real problem.
As for the construction of the building, it's not one of those tissue paper wall buildings where you can hear everything from every neighbor.
My favorite part of Riverland Woods, other than Jackalyn & Justin as staff, is the wonderful view of the lake from my apartment! I unsuccessfully attempted to load a picture so you could be jealous of my luck.
I highly recommend Riverland Woods as a wonderful community and a great place to live!

Posts from the staff and/or management should not be allowed here. After several months with no posts on this community, how ironic is it, that on the same day, THREE posts written in real estate marketing prose show up showering the staff and apartments with praise like, "They have even just put in a new outside grill for their residents, as if the large pool, the clubhouse with pool table, free movie loans and always ready cookies weren't enough!" Seriously!? This is cheap and it says a lot about the staff at Riverland Woods. Don't believe this garbage.

We have been more than respectful and willing to fix any issues you may have with us here. However, we must ask that you refrain from any further harassing of our residents or we will be forced to report you. There is no way that the management is allowed to make up a review as above. You can see our username (which can only create one from a domain) and this is the username we use to try to correct any prior wrongs. It is unjustified that you continue to harass our residents, as we try our hardest to fix whatever issues you have faced. We would love to make things right; but this is violating the agreement of apartmentratings.com Riverland Woods Team P.S. Some of the usernames and reviews include the residents name. It would be illegal for us to assume a resident and write a review for them.

Thaxton, get over yourself. Tenants were asked as we brought in rent checks some time ago to please take some time to visit this site and give our opinions. Sorry you have nothing better to do than to bash a management team that would do everything they could to help you if you were here. Keep your juvenile and unfounded lambasting to yourself.
