At first i was happy about the size of the apartment for the price. Then things started falling apart. The managers are very rude, they dont answer the phones, they dont get back to you, and sometimes they lock people out so residents can't get into the office. They have too much to do and not enough people to do it. There is one maintenance worker for the whole complex and God help you if you need something fixed. You might wait weeks or months like i have. I dont get apologies or restitution, all i get is excuses. Lame excuses.
There is always trash laying around everywhere outside. Which doesn't surprise me because there is ONE trash receptacal for the whole complex. There isn't even a trash bin outside the park/picnic area. where do they expect people to put there trash' well, you are supposed to put it down a chute into a compactor and if your trash gets stuck in the chute, then you're screwed. Along with the trash problem there is the problem with neighbors hanging out in the halls outside your door. The managers will do nothing to help you with your problems with your neighbors. In fact i think its written in the lease somewhere that you have to confront your neighbors 3 times before management will step in.
Just please, whatever you do, NO MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY YOU WANT TO SAVE!!
DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!
ITS NOT WORTH IT!

Planters Retreat is horrible. If you do live here please take pictures before you move outbecuase even if you apt is spotless they will find some way to keep your deposit. This place is horrible. Its not safe for you kids and their is constatly drug busts and people getting shot. Its not worth it.
