I live in the village at lake wylie and would just like to say that it is a great place to live. I have lived in other apartment communities and I would definately say that this place is the best. While looking at this site I noticed some of the comments that this apartment complex got were very bad. My feelings on the residents who wrote these reviews is that they are basically spoiled rich people who have too much time on their hands and have no idea what a "bad" apartment complex is. Most of the people who live here are waiting on homes to be built and just like to complain. I used to live in an apartment complex where cars got broke into nightly and many residents had their homes broken into. The village at lake wylie doesn't have any of these problems. The village at lake wylie did get a new office staff but that happens people quit jobs any place you go and this complex is no exception. Before you make any judgements about the village you need to come and visit these apartments see the office staff and make your own decisions based on that.

Umm.. I use to assist the VLW staff, and yes they do have those problems. Several vehicle break ins, one vehicle was stolen during the night, and an intoxicated woman drove into her building with her vehicle. Not to mention some kids PUSHING/ROLLING their car down the path to the lake during the night. Several break ins into the old vacant buildings. If you don't believe me, please visit the York County Sheriff's Office and obtain an area Crime Report for the VLW area. So once you decide to climb out from the rock your under, refer to the Crime Report... Point proven...

Figures you would post this crap without even a user name. Spoiled rich people?! So I take it you're from the ghetto and speak from experience? Maybe you should go back to your other complex. And yes this place does need some serious attention. Vehicle break-ins, vandalism-go down to the lake and look at the all the copper wood caps that have been smashed in, or the fishing pond with all the trash thrown in it, or the kids setting fires in the woods. Learn your facts before you open your mouth and your foot won't end up in it.
