Great place to live

I was looking over the other comments on this site and couldnt believe what I read. This is a top notch facility and is managed by a great company with great employees. Over the last 2 years I have spent a lot of time at the Village because my girlfriend lives there and we had no complaints. The grounds are beautiful and the apartments are modern and very nice. I never heard other residents through the walls as some people claim. I have lived in many apartments with tissue paper walls and this is not one of them. The amenities are numerous and well-maintained. The pool is absolutely beautiful and we loved playing tennis on their court. Their workout facility is state of the art and the business center had everything you could ever want (internet access, copiers, FAXes, you name it). Best of all was the lakeside dock. The fishing was good right off the dock but my favorite was taking a bottle of wine down, sitting on the porch swing and watching the sunset. There's even a fenced in dog park down there that we put our dog in while we watched the sunset. The complex also has numerous resident functions, more than we could ever participate in, although my favorites were the acoustic guitarist at the dock (at sunset!) and the musician playing at the pool. I also cant forget the fabulous (and free) big screen party at the clubhouse when the Panthers won the championship that put them into the Superbowl.
We knew that the management company changed and, according, one would expect some turnover in the staff. How this so negatively affected some of the other contributors to this site I can not fathom. After the change, maintenance has always come when we called and the staff has helped us with any problem we have had, always with a smile on their face. So what is the problem'' These people must have nothing better to do with their lives than complain. Indeed, I noticed that the people complaining usually did not have jobs that kept them busy. My parents owned apartments growing up and I can tell you there are a million things that can and do go wrong, even in the best apartment complexes. The true test of a management company is not that they can prevent things going awry but how they respond when things do. From what I have seen the current management company does a fabulous job in this regard. The only downside with the change is that the old manager, Patty, moved up and is no longer the manager. We were particularly found of Patty, but her replacement has done a great job as well. In summary, this complex is probably the best one on Lake Wylie. ALL complexes have problems but the ones here that even remotely affected us were virtually non-existent. I would recommend this site wholeheartedly.
