Well we moved in here in March 07. We were shown the model apartment earlier when we visited the community because we were told that no vacants were available to be seen at the time. When we moved in the apt was barely cleaned and there was paint overspray on the bathroom tiles and the floors. Prior to moving in we were told by the leasing consultant that the community was going to be upgrading the apartments and the apartment we'd be moving into would have ceramic tile in the kitchen and bath areas - nothing of the such upon move in. The carpet was cleaned however the cigerette burn holes from the previous occupants became apparent about a month after we were here, we now have to clean the carpet monthly to keep the appearance of something desirable, not due to own traffic, but due to previous occupants bad housekeeping habits. We have dilapitated miniblinds that bend in the middle - we requested new ones be installed - nothing yet, it's August. We went to the home improvement store and purchased new flooring for the kitchen and bathroom, we couldnt stand to look at the nasty yellowed vinyl composition tile - worthless even trying to clean it. We like the patio porch on the back. The rent is good for the money, the electric bills are reasonable, the fireplace is nice and works great. The community grounds are maintained by mow-n-go landscapers they do bare amount to keep the place appealing to anyone wandering through. They allow pets, there is a fee and monthly pet rent. One troubling aspect of the Thornhill apartments is recently, management rented some apartments out to a construction company called "M and L Construction" we have NO JOKE at least 10 to 15 --------- living adjacent to our apartment in a 2 bedroom apartment, they do not speak any english whatsoever, one can only imagine the legitamicy of their right to be in the country legally, I'll leave it at that. They recently purchased new lawn furniture and BBQ grill for residents to enjoy. Were glad to see them spend some money on something decent for the residents. If your late with the rent - like a couple of days - not weeks, call the Manager she'll work with you, but you will have to pay the late fees. You be the judge of this review and everything stated is fact.
