Yes, the gate is always broken... but it isn't a "security" gate it's an "access" gate. My favorite part was the 50 people who didn't live here having a pool party and invading the parking lot at 11pm on a weeknight. If you plan on calling on the front office staff for support, plan on them treating you like you are a child. Oh... the worst part is the spiders they won't get rid of. I've called the front office to tell them about the huge webs in the stairwells only to told that "spiders live outside." Every morning I have to dodge spiders and webs and have found them in my apartment. Even worse-- these aren't garden spiders, they are a variety of spiders that can be poisonous. They refuse to clear the webs out and kill the spiders. I've even called the regional office. So-- if you like spiders and no security, come, live here. Yes, most of the time they'll fix your broken shower rod or leakng toilet, but don't expect them to do anything that requires much effort.
