Mexico City comes to Mt Pleasant

This apartment is not a complete dump but it definately needs a major rennovation. Our apartment has nasty cabinets that you don't want to put your dishes in without something under them like a paper towel or some other protectant, a very squeeky floor (that in the hallway causes you to have to walk along the walls to prevent making noise), an air conditioning unit that is on its last leg. The overall condition of the apartment is on a path of self destruction. There are narrow parking spots, loud neighbors and music groups, arguments that occur early in the am(6am)all of this due to I guess thin walls. If you have children I would not recommend renting an upstairs apartment due to one safety concern- the railings are far enough apart that my two year old can turn sideways and fits through. Scary!! Makes me so nervous when he gets near the railings. As far as maitenance- they show up without returning your call to say they are coming but they do do the best they can at fixing the problem. If you need an out going mailbox look elsewhere, they have a paper clip attached to the mailbox area for you to put your mail or a community out mailbox at the entrance that I think is mainly suppouse to be for the office. We haven't had it to bad but if you can afford elsewhere I would live there instead. Oh and there is a school nearby so on friday nights sometimes you hear the band and crowds cheering but it isn't too bad. They also like to set off fireworks even when it isn't a holiday that requires them.
