We have lived here for a year unfortunately, because we signed a year's lease before knowing how terrible it'd be at Harbor Pointe.
They should tear down the "LUXURY apartments" sign because they aren't even close to that. Unfortunately you pay rent as if they were luxurious.
Taking a walk outside, you are in a combat zone with dog poop mines. You get told that if you are caught letting your dog poop without cleaning it, you get fined $50. I see people letting their dogs go wild without cleaning up after them quite all the time.
The trash compactor frequently breaks, causing a backlog of trash down the street every few months. We were specifically told that if we were caught putting old furniture or junk next to the compactor on the little driveway, we would be fined. It is rare that there is nothing lined up like old chairs and desks that other people have left there to rot, not to mention to cause an eyesore as you drive by.

There is ZERO maintenance of the buildings. The rooftops are torn up. There are squirrels living in our attic; same thing in the next two buildings. They make a racket at night when you are trying to sleep. One building had insulation falling out onto the grounds, which layed there for a month before it got picked up.
We have paid over $200/month on summer electric bills. When we called to have our A/C fixed, we were told by the repairman that our bills are so high because the A/C unit has not been serviced for over five years (supposed to be done annually!). Even after it got fixed, we had warm air coming out. Summer water pipes allow only hot water to flow out, and wintertime is the opposite- they say there's nothing they can do about it. Ants and palmetto bugs live here freely as well. They are taking over in fact.
I saw the bannister fall off from a stairway while a woman tumbled to the ground. Our bannister is loose as well. Next time it better not be me.
Examples could go on forever regarding how this place is not maintained at all. It is too bad because you can see at one time it must've been a pretty place to live.
