I have lived in Harbor Pointe for 5 years and as of today I am not happy. I'm looking to move and that is how I found this website. Iwas happy at first but the complex has really declined. The staff is incompetent. If you ask a question, you will get several different answers based on who you are. The rent has increased steadily while the service and amenities have decreased. The tennis court is useless. The hottub is always broken, along with the trash compactor. The pool looks filthy most of the time. Ants and bugs roam all over my place. My neighbor had mold growing in her closet and was told it was not a serious problem. The grounds are dark, especially around the little fitness room. That place is just an accident waiting to happen. The dog poop problem has been going on since I have been here. On nice days you can't even open your windows for fear of the stench, since thoughtless neighbors let their dogs do their business virtually on your porch. I have never seen anyone clean up after a dog. I know the nasty little secret; the dog owners walk their dogs either late at night or early morning under the cover of darkness to avoid handling their responsibility! Management could do something about this if they really wanted.
I'm not the kind of person who would normally trash a place but I want to be honest. I do not like this place anymore, so I plan to leave. I don't expect a place to be perfect but I'm not willing to accept this place. The location is great and on first glance it looks like a nice place to live. It might work for short-term living but trust me you won't want to stay to long.
