At first I was very excited about living here. I am only a few months away from my lease ending and I am extatic about getting out of here! First of all, I've lived here for two years and I am a very well established professional. I get treated like I am a child. The rental office is absolutely ridiculous. These people need to realize that treating your tennants like crap is going to drive the place down hill fast. My girlfriend moved into an apartment here about 18 months into my lease and she had a rat problem, that they never fixed. The rat would chew up her carpet and belongings and the office simply said, "You're not the only one having the problem." How professional...and how nasty to have a rat problem! Then the construction came. Hammering at 7am on a Saturday morning!!! Hammering at 7pm on a Saturday evening!!! Now onto the parking! Their parking situation is absolutely obsurd. They have boat parking where residents should be parking their cars. Why' Because they charge $75 a month for a boat parking space! Money hungry are we' Then they installed car damaging speed bumps. I am all about slow speeds through an apartment complex, but not ones that damage vehicles at 5 miles per hour! We complained to the office and what did they say' "We won't do anything unless 75% of the residents complain." Are you keeping track of who complains' "No." HMMM...figure that one out. Then my girlfriend moves out of her apartment. The place was very clean and in great shape. She only got $25 back for her deposit with out any explanation as to why. NONE!!! So, why even clean your place when you move out' The maintenance staff (two alcoholics) don't know how to fix things the correct way the first time. They sure do know how to "band-aid" problems. I've had them attempt to fix my leaking bathtub spigot 5 times and it STILL leaks! Which costs me more money in water! But don't even waste your time complaing...they do not care about their residents at all! In fact, when approached about the parking situation, one of the maintenance staff said, "I could care less if you get at $75 fine for parking in the boat parking." ARE YOU SERIOUS'''!!! I could go on and on about why not to live at this place, but I'm sure you get the picture. Don't even waste your time stopping by. I'm sure you would get treated very nicely by the staff...until you become a resident that is. Once you are locked in to paying them money, you are just a pain in their neck (to say the least). Good luck finding an apartment! Don't waist your time here!!!

I've lived here for 8 years and know just about everybody out here. None of us ever had any rat problem...perhaps your girlfriend needs to keep a cleaner apartment! You shouldn't have to clean your apartment before you move out if you KEPT A CLEAN HOUSE TO BEGIN WITH!!!! Maybe you get treated like a child because you act like one! Don't you realize that they were making the place better when all of the hammering was going on? Did it interupt your professional beauty sleep. Get your facts straight airhead...they charge $20 for boat parking and $75 if your stupid self is dumb enough to park in one! Stop driving 100 miles an hour over the speed bump and maybe you wouldn't hurt your precious car.

it looks like "happy betty" works at hibben ferry. It is written as though someone was offended by the first comment. Ok, lets get things straight here. They are tearing out all of the old apartments and are redoing them and perhaps turning them into condos. They are moving people out of here in order to revamp the apartments. So like happybetty/ HF employee said they are "making the place better" with all of the hammering, but not for the existing residents who are having no improvements made to thier apartments, but only for the future residents who are moving into brand new apartments and paying mega-bucks.And the pool... how freaking hard is it to maintain such a small pool. A retarded chimp could keep it open more.
