This apartment was found online. The move was from out of state. I would NOT advise it currently. We moved here a few months ago before any updating was done. At move in day the carpet was shampooed,but had a hole in it in the hall. In March 2006 was told it'd be taken care of in a few days. I SHOULD HAVE HAD THE WORD FEW DEFINED. Few days evidently meant a few days after the maintenance and management all die. The building was built 25 years ago or so. Routine maintenance on the place must not have happened since. The appliances literally fell out of the rotting fiberboard cupboards because the fiberboard is so deteriorated. On attempting to use the oven, it basically disintegrated in my hands because it was so rusty the thing crumpled apart. That happened in september 06. Finally now in Jan 07 there is a different oven in here. Not a new one mind you---just a different used one. The "updating" began in spring 06. We have plumbing problems that have remained unresolved since move in. Another unit in this building was updated looks nice, I warned the new renters before they came in we have these plumbing problems. Sure enough 2 or 3 days later I see hoses going out of that unit dumping who knows what sort of water out into the "parklike setting". Our bathtub leaks water many days were told not to bathe. New residents who have moved into the "updated units" report hating the construction noise which continues at all hours. Spanish speaking (illegals') do this "updating" round the clock. Move here only if you enjoy noise, bad plumbing, and fishing piers with holes you can fall through. Even the "updated units" are not so great.

I am a neighbor of the person who wrote this. I can tell it's my neighbor because of the specific complaints. This person is a NUTCASE!!! She is Crazy in the head!!! She has no job and no life so she just walks around the complex looking for things to complain about. She tries to complain to me but I like living here so I just ignore her. Did I mention that she has major head problems? Anyway, the construction has been annoying but what do you expect? They are trying to make the place better. You can't blame them for that. It should be over soon. This place is real nice and I will live here until I buy a house in a year or two.

To freebird35, You are very low to attack your neighbor that way. I would honestly guess your identity to be one of the Hibben Ferry staff members trying to protect your job. I agree with the author of the original message... this place is overpriced and the construction is disgustingly annoying!

Hey smart one, since when has any kind of construction EVER been convenient? Do you complain when the city works on widening a road? Or when they are repairing something that causes traffic back ups?? That's annoying too but it must be done! Get a clue or GET OUT!
