Overall the facilities are nice, the grounds are well kept, and the environment is welcoming. However, the HOA is absolutely outrageous with their rules and regulations. They enforce their covenant restrictions on renters to the extreme. On the issue of noise violations and neighbor complaints the front office will do less than nothing. I live below an extremely rude family that operates a day care during the summer out of their apartment - a violation of the community regulations - and refuses to keep their children as well as the children they care for under control. Noise levels have been excessive at all times during the day to the point where the dishes in my kitchen and the chandelier on my ceiling rattle. After the family refused to keep the noise level to a minimum upon my request, I had to call the front office to file a complaint. They basically told me all they could do is tell them to be quieter despite the fact that it was a clear violation of the community ordinance. After repeated calls to the front office and receiving no response despite leaving multiple voice message I had to call the police after waking to another 7 am bad parenting/child induced apartment rattling tirade that lasted over an hour. The police told me that I just had to deal with it and would just have to move to resolve the situation. Additionally, I have witnessed people swimming completely unclothed in the pool as well as even seeing public fornication taking place while attempting to exercise in the weight room. This apartment complex though nice is expensive and poorly managed to say the least. If you want to live in a place that is not worth the astronomically high rent price, does not respond to its tenants complaints, and has an HOA that seems to restrict the amount of air you can breath then this is your place. Otherwise, I would not recommend living in an apartment at Long Grove Apartments - ever.
