Palmetto Plantation is OLD and needs a good remodeling. The grounds are nice enough, but the apartments are beat up and not nearly as nice as others I visited in Mt. Pleasant. I chose this place b/c it is close to work, but I would rather have a nicer place to come home to. It is not gated and there has been a lot of vandalism to cars. Even though it says "private property" traffic cuts through it all the time to get off Hwy 17. The office manager is a witch who is too busy closing the office for a 2 hour lunch to attend to any maintenance matters. The other guy in the office sits with his feet up on the desk, real professional! Definitely a compromise to live here. Look further!
