I lived in this apartment for 3.5 years,it is very bad experience for me. every thing in the apartment is very poor quality (such as dish washer, air condition, toilet) I set the room temperature at 65F, the electric bill goes to $200/month for winter season, even the temperature is no so cold in this area.
I asked the office to fix the door to the porch, it was never done till I moved out (3.5 year!!!)
the paints for the carbine and closet is very poor quality, it peels off after 2 years. The apartment office claimed I peel these paints off, and charged me after I moved out.
the rent soared from $615 with water in Aug. 2005 to $825 w/o water. and the water bill is not reasonable at all. Since my apartment doesn;t have landuary, and I don;t use dish washer at all, I don't expect I use tons of water, but I got an average $50/month water bill after they start to charge the water.

I was just reading over the reviews because I live at the Thickett and I wanted to know what was being said about the community I live in. I have never had a bad experience in the many years I have lived at the Thickett and if I ever did have any issues Anne (property manager) has always taken care of them. I find this a lack of notifying the proper people to take care of these issues and now complaining after the fact because you have moved out. I find this review curious as to why would you live in an apartment community for so many years if you were being treated badly and your electric bill was so high? How would you know if your patio door was fixed after you moved out? After all of this was stated in no part of your complaint do you say that you brought it to the managers attention and nothing was done. Sounds like someone cryig wolf. If you don't speak up no one will hear you. I guess it is too late now, but I don't like people giving bad raps on good people when it is out of their control if the don't know about it. Just me, but I find this review curious, untruthful and dishonest.
