The staff are awful. The manager is mean spirited and tells every resident something different. The maintenance man is horrible and makes things worse not better. The place needs updating and its entirely too much rent for what you get. It would not be such a bad deal if the staff were courteous and friendly, which they are not. They are old and seems like they would rather have it be a retirement home and not a place for families. New staff would definately turn things around.

I can understand having fustration with the way a place is run but it just seems like you are racist. To call the people that are running the place old just shows that you are racist against them and should watch your words before stating something. I don't even have to call you that because you stated it in your writing. I think that maybe you may be the one with the problem.

I can not believe you are talking about the Thickett staff this way. I have lived there for 3 years and am moving out for location reasons. Anne (the manager) is fantastic and maintenance is prompt and takes care of things usually the day they find out something needs fixing. I will miss the staff more than anything and I have to say people reading your review need to ignore it b/c it sounds like you have some personal issues.

Anon, clearly you're not familiar with the definition of "racist" and "prejudice" To imply the individual complaining about thickett are racist would mean that they are attacking the staff due to their race/ethnicity. We're all entitled to our own opinions of the places we live. Some get better treatment than others do(beesh76) and I can't say I was ever given bad treatment at Parish Place or Cricken Tree while Lydia was our property manager. Thickett is ideally a duplicate of Crickentree so it couldn't be that much worse. But back to my original point... Don't go around calling people racist when they were in fact being prejudice. Prejudice isn't as restrictive of a term as racist is. Please make sure you're properly insulting people if you plan on it having any real impact on the individual being insulted.
