so my sons fahter signs a lease after viewing an apartment with no electricity (shoulda known better). i come over the following day to look over things and it was terrible. couldnt even tell you the last time it was cleaned. there were obvious creature droppings, oven had not been cleaned, bathrooms had a chalky white substance in all corners, dust and cobwebs on light fixtures, the toilets all had a film going down the sides, oh and at least a dozen other things. the carpet was so filthy after only 20 minutes of crawling around my sons feet were black!!! i called the office to let them know of the issues. the response i got was well didnt he do a walk through' i said yes he did but there was no electricity how much can one possibly see'''' they said the carpets could only be cleaned in two weeks because thats when the company comes in. i was also told the filth in the carpet must be dust because the girl simply must vaccuum on a weekly basis because of the dust. SHE ONLY DOES THAT ONCE A WEEK' HOW GROSS IS HER UNIT' they said they could have someone come back in and clean but it took almost a week to find out they just couldnt find anyone. and when when they magically found someone they said they would only do certain things as people had now been living in the unit for a week or two. i offered to do the cleaning but was told they would give no reduction or consideration. now why do people pay a non refundable cleaning fee if it doesnt get done' actually i found out the unit had been empty since may06. thats over a YEAR!! i found it hard to believe they dont do a move in check list. i guess they dont do random checks on empty units. as an owner of the property i would certainly want that. the girls seem quite removed from being professional, compassionate, or even competent. im lead to believe the companys officials do little to check up on their trusted employees. i dont think you could pay me to live in such a place. thankfully my son doesnt go there often.
