My wife and I moved in February of 07. In mid November my wife lost her job. Shortly later she received and offer in VA and we notified the apartments about the move. I have never worked with us rude and unprofessional people in my life. As a hotel manager, I work with a lot of people from all over the world, and I have to say, Palmetto Point is not a place of professional people. We have 3 months left on our lease. We asked if we could pay November and leave. NO . Ok, we then asked if we could pay out our notice which was November and January. NO . There were going to make up pay over $3500.00 dollars to get us out of our lease and we only have 3 months left. Our rent was never late, we never complained about some of the issues, like mild in our shower, old stains in the carpet that came back after about 3 months in the apartment, no parking (and they even sent out letter about the parking, so it was an issue) and some others . We are a young couple living off one income having to move over 400 miles away leaving a place we loved. No help form any one in the company. We drained our savings, and went two months having to pay two rent payments. We didn t ask for our lives to get turned upside down. DON T MOVE HERE. Rent is to high and the staff is rude, liars, and all about the money and cares nothing about you and your family.
