We actually lived in Savannah Shores in 2004 for 7 months and that is about all we could handle. All the reviews on here that I have read have been true. It is extremely loud (neighbors and we lived on the 3rd floor!!), terrible management staff just to name a few problems. First off, when we moved here, we were moving from another state and signed the lease fairly quick during a weekend trip. Then, about a month or so before we were scheduled to move in, they called me and told me (after they had already cashed my check for the deposit) and said they needed the deposit. Okay, getting this kind of call may not sound like a big deal, but we were also planning a wedding at the time and this can be crushing to people who are planning on moving in a few weeks 7 hours away. Then, after getting all that settled we moved in and it was absolutely beautiful, but after the first hurricane came through, our roof leaked and they never came and fixed it. Then, the people below us had a hound dog and they would leave him alone for the night and he would howl all night and we never got any sleep. So, I called the manager and told her when he was howling to come and listen to it, she said she was on her way, but apparently something happened between the office and 9776 building because she never came!!! Then we decided we were going to move out early because of these issues, she (the manager) told my husband not to worry about the lease and since we were so unhappy, she would terminate our lease. well, after moving out of that hell hole, about 2 months later, we get a bill in the mail for over 1000.00!!! What the hell'' She obviously did not keep her end of the bargain and of course denied every bit of it. Security was a joke here. Like others have said, the gate basically stayed open everyday until the last few weeks we lived there. The only thing it was good for was the pool and weight room. I would not recommend anyone ever living here again!!!

I'm not sure this poster is qualified to post an opinion about this complex in June of 2007 when she lived there in 2004. It has since been bought and turned into condos. They are now available to buy or rent long term or as vacation rentals. They've been remodeled with all new paint, carpeting, appliances, granite countertops and tile floors. They are also under new management. If you read most of the more current posts, you'll notice a big difference in the comments.

vacation rentals....nice. I'm sure that helps with the noise level...people on vacation....
