Having lived at Birkdale Commons for 1-1/2 years, I was very disturbed by the review I read dated 3/9/04. This place is great! I've lived in apartments in 7 states over the course of the past 20 years and I can tell you that Birkdale ranks in the top 3 of any place I've ever lived. Both the office staff and the maintenance guys are top-notch professionals who truly care about the property and the residents. Issues mentioned in the 3/9 review are ridiculous. Every concern or issue I've ever had, as well as those I know about from my neighbors, is handled promptly, efficiently and effectively. This staff does not mess around! The mention of alcohol borders on slander - I am in the office several times every week and have never seen any behavior that is not strictly professional and straight-up. This group definitely runs a tight ship - they don't even provide alcoholic beverages for our resident socials! As for seeing the staff at Ron Jons - let me tell you, this is the "locals" place to be any night of the week. The food is good, the atmosphere is perfect for meeting friends (yep, even other neighbors)- a great place to relax after a long day at work -- it must be well-known because even Mr. Negative Review found it! If the staff wants to throw down a couple of drinks after work, more power to them. After all, they work long hours and have to deal with pressure-filled days and all types of situations. Personally, I can't see how having a few drinks with friends after work affects their performance at work. Without a doubt, this is one of the finest apartments I've ever lived in from every standpoint and I am proud to call it "home". Join us and I'm sure you will agree.
