I have lived here for 2 years now. I just read some of the "complaints" left about The Abbey. I can only wonder why such things were said. My apartment, a 2 bedroom, is a very spacious place. I was a travel nurse for a while and you would not believe how small many apts can be. This is beautiful! The biggest plus is they allowed my big dog! That's almost unheard of in Myrtle Beach! The bathrooms are large, there is lots of closet space, you have a nice patio ( I even have a vegetable garden on mine!) There is a pool, laundry, exercise, club house areas. As far as maintanance, I have had to have a few things fixed. Nothing takes long at all. I read what someone wrote about his air conditioning. Mine went out actually just recently and the maintance men were here as soon as they could get the equipment they needed. All the managers they have had here are great. Yes there can be some rowdy college kids at times, but it's close to CCU and you have to take the good with the bad. And the good FAR out weighs the bad. I am leaving here soon as I do have a big dog and I want him to have a yard to play in but if I was "petless"',,...I would be staying for sure.

I agree with the comments above. I have been here 3-1/2 years and will also be moving. I had to rent month to month for the last couple of months due to a possible out of state relocation. Now I find out that I will be staying in Myrtle Beach and could have signed another year lease. Unfortunately, I have to move...while being "month to month", my apartment was leased to new tenants. Looking for somewhere else to live now!
