Moving into Spring House was easy. The staff was very accomodating and indicated that they had experience with people in the military. They offered a military discount and said they just needed a certain amount of notice and a copy of my orders to allow me to move out and end my lease. Their maintenance staff was quick, courteous, and efficient. The ladies in the office were always ready and able to help. A friend of mine is now living there, and seems to enjoy her apartment. It's a nice little place.

That said, I had a problem when it came time to move out. I received a bill for charges levied in excess of my security deposit. This much was fair, as I had not had time to clean as much as I'd wanted to when it came time to move out, and they assessed water bills therein, as well; this meant I had one less bill to pay, afterwards. That said, the bill was printed out on the afternoon of the 10th, post-marked on the 11th, and arrived at my new home on the 15th. The bill demanded payment in full by the 13th, saying that my account would be sent to collections and my credit would be damaged if it was not received by then. I managed to arrange payment through a friend of mine who still lived at the apartment complex, but I was very disappointed.

First of all, the timing of the bill was unreasonable. It takes a minimum of two to three business days for mail to reach its recipient, and then it takes the same amount of time for a response to arrive, even if that response is sent out on the very same day. Spring House did not allow for this. I had not expected to be treated like this, as I had always paid my bills on time and did my best to be a good tenant. To date, I am not sure if my credit has been negatively impacted by this or not.

I enjoyed living at Spring House. However, I can not recommend it to anyone else as a result of this incident. I recommend finding a place that will treat you better than this.
