I moved in on a deal ($500.00) a month special, im a single parentof one child and thought it was a steal. The application process wasnt bad but she asked me to sign the contract without even showing me the apt (i had to ask) and then i didnt like it, so i asked for another and i then got my apt, nice kitchen, dishwasher, 2 bed ,1 bath. Moved in and like 2 dead roaches on the floor, carpet wasnt cleaned (not really bad though),and the walk in closet was HUGE so i was sold. But i had 2 cousins who stayed here too, there apt looked totally different, they had white cabinets , mines were wood, and one of their carpet was really really old with holes and it was comin up all over the place(she said she got a reduced price on rent for it ) but WOW! The other cousin had a BIG hole over her tube in the bathroom. When i moved in my air condition and hot water wasnt working, called the office and she put it on a post it note, called the next day after comin home and seeing that it still wasnt fixed and she was like "yes i have the maintanence guy comin to apt 600c later, (mines is 3200B, see the prob, LOL) i just happen to be pretty so i spoke with the maintananece guys to get it fixed ASAP (they never flipped the switch when i moved in(something really minor), so then on anything i need i go str8 to him and its taken care of, but the people at the office are rude, ghetto and ignorant so it makes the stay very unpleasant and if ur late on rent they leave a BIG RED letter on your door, letting everyone know in the complex know your business, and EVERYONE (more than 30 people) say that they have little fruit looking fly's in their apt. At first it was horrible, i bought bug spray and i still have it but it is ok. Only living there 3 months and someone got shot (2 buildings away), hostage situtaion (in the front),someone got hit in the head with the butt of a gun(right in the parkin lot in front of my building ) someone got robbed (walked out the house with their 47 inch and a wii game, NO ONE SAW ANYTHING, yeah right), apartment broke into (the girl across the hall from me, but her boyfriend sold drugs so maybe that had something to do with it, dont know) and my friend that moved in after me and this week someone broke into her boyfriends car (she lives in the front), how the hell the police patrol the area all the time and all these things happen , I DONT KNOW, but washer and dryers are in every building YET THEY DONT WORK, overall my apartment is VERY NICE (INSIDE), if i could pick it up and move it, i would but the area is bad, people are standing outside the building ALL times of night, come home, leave, wee morning hours (3,4,5 am) still there, it makes me soooo nervous, i come home and am glad that no one has broken into my house, i live in the back, my sliding door faces the back of the building, going to buy an apt alarm, wanted to buy a flat screen but i am still going to buy it but will take the tv to my moms and have her hold it for me until i leave, im thinkin of makin up a reason to break my lease cuz i dont feel safe here AT ALL, oh and they have one dumpster (if u live in the front you have a longggg walk , cuz its located in the back) me and my son have to walk like 5 minutes to it, terrible, just terrible, and sometimes the hallway smells like urine, and people leave their trash in the hallway (guess they dont feel like walkin), and to top everything off i live downstairs and i hear EVERY SINGLE footstep my upstairs neaighbor makes, its embarassin when u have company, and it wakes me up in the morning, so OVERALL i would say STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!! I strongly recommend that u spend your extra dollars wisely and move somewhere else!
