The managemet that was here is very friendly and was able to get everything we needed, they are changing so who knows (but I am not staying to find out). You get what you pay for... well they are raising the rent and updating a lot of things, so who knows. All I can tell you is what happened when I moved in... The place was not cleaned properly (I found roaches in the bathroom upon moving in), the kitchen floor was dirty, the carpets were horrible and smelled like smoke, the dishwasher is outdated and smells funny (that is why I have never used it). The refrigerator that was first brought was not cleaned properly and smelled horrible, it stopped working and management quickly brought another one, which after I cleaned it again (bugs, even leaves!) did not work... third time was the charm and it was still given to me dirty, but it worked well (third time is a charm, I guess). They clean out the leaves in the front about 2 times a week and those days we get a bunch of leaves accumulated in our front steps that I have to clean out. A lot of the pests I have found have been do to unclean neighbors, they leave their garbage out in the front for days, to lazy to go throw it away, until I guess the stinch finally gets to them (management has been very laid back on the issue). I have only had 4 other instances with roaches that seem to come up the drains, but call management and they'll have pest controll deal with it. I don't have frequent problems with pests because I keep a very clean apartment. We have to wash our car at least 2 times a week because there are a lot of trees and the birds leave their droppings everywhere on the car. I have only visited the onsite laundry once and it smelled like urine, so no way was I going to wash there and I have never been back since (nor plan to). Overall, people are nice, the management is very good... just be prepared to move in to a place that is more vintage looking. If you are willing to sacrifice luxury and cleanlyness for space then this is the place for you, but not for me. And now that rent is going up you can certainly ask for what you pay for. Just choose the location of the apartment well, and I am sure management will be able to locate you around cleaner, less noisy neigbors if you ask them. So if I had a friend who has no problem with all of this and wants a no-hassle rentable place, then this is a very good place for them. Not for me. Good luck!
