Looks can be Deceiving!

As a single, military professional, I thought that living here would be easy. Far from the truth. Palmetto bugs are everywhere and they are large. I know a couple throwing out most of their belongings in their rental storage room because of the infestation of palmetto bugs...and they paid extra for that space!
The building I live in has poor parking. Lighting is terrible all over the community. I don't feel safe at night. Computer room shuts down too early to benefit from using it, unless you don't work.
Walls are paper thin...I can hear others using the bathroom. Even normal music is heard through these walls. Each bottom floor apartment has 6 A/C-heating units outside the master bedroom window and it is never quiet (as heard directly from a tenant that I know living on the ground floor).
Grounds are well kept, but this apartment community is mostly pavement and builing with very little green space.
Rent is extremely high. Its just not worth it. Move-in fees are outrageous. Everything but a fee to breathe. A few of us here wish we could charge a fee for poor construction, design.
I still have many months to go in my lease, but will welcome the time to move - having learned my lesson that looks can be very deceiving!
