Lived here for 11 months, and it has been a nightmare from the beginning. Let me start off with the fact that my wife and I are fairly easy to please when it comes to apartments, and have never had the problems we do here. The buildings were very poorly built. We live on the first floor, and can hear every step our upstairs neighbors make. It probably doesn't help that our first upstairs neighbors had a large dog, which they liked throwing a ball across the apartment for at 2am. You could play Battleship and figure out exactly where that dog was at any given time. We talked to them twice about the noise. When that didn't work, we complained to the office, which had no effect. The noise continued, bouncing ball dog and all, until they moved out. Our new neighbors are just as noisy, all hours of the day and night, just without the dog. Also, our other neighbor probably burns through a carton of Camel Lights per day. Wouldn't be a problem if the smoke didn't come through the walls/vents directly into our apartment. Hot water has been an issue as well. After a 10-minute shower, you get to wait an hour if anyone else wants a shower. We do really like the maintenance guys, though! Any time you see someone that often, they tend to grow on you...
