I moved in 04/01/06 and was very excited. The apartment layout was exactly what I wanted, and the complex was wonderful. It's very well kept and seems like a great place to live. The management team was really attentive while I was making my decision, right up to when I went in to sign my lease. The woman who gave me the paperwork was rude and inconsiderate, making me wait 10 minuets while she finished her lunch, though she new I was in a hurry as I called ahead and stated that I would come by during lunch. When she finally got around to helping me, she explained nothing and had to redo half of the paperwork after I pointed out that it was incorrect. I considered simply walking out, however my experience with two other staff members (both men) had been wonderful so I assumed she was having a bad day. I was incorrect. Unfortunately, most of my experiences since have involved her and she is as rude and incompetent as a person can be. In addition, there is a security system that was previously installed in the apartment that I do not need and thus have not activated. While I was at work, faulty wiring caused the fire alarms attached to the system to activate. When I returned home all the fire alarms were dismantled and I received a very nasty letter from maintenance stating that I would have to replace the batteries and hook up the fire alarms. This is absurd to me. While I understand maintenance is not there to fix or maintain personal appliances, these were the fire alarms that were installed when I moved in, I did not choose them. It is really too bad that a few staff members can ruin such a nice place to live. I have no intention in renewing my lease simply because of these and similar incidents.
