I lived at Brookstone for almost 3 years. I never had a problem and for the most part enjoyed living there. I spoke to the guys in the office a lot and they were very pleasant. The maintenance guys were great. I was also a good tenant to them. My rent was ALWAYS on time and I never received a complaint from management. When my lease was up I decided to move. I received a bill in the mail from Brookstone management not too long after I left. It was for almost $500. They claimed all of the carpet had to be replaced because of one small pink stain (fruit punch) in the living room. Yes, in my 2 years of living there I spilled something on the carpet...it happens. And trust me, the carpet was old when I moved in so it most likely needed to be replaced anyway. Not sure why I had to foot the bill. They charged me for a dirty medicine cabinet, make-up marks in the bathroom drawers and scuff marks in the laundry room. I was charged for things that would be cleaned by their cleaning crew anyway to prepare for the new tenants. I spoke to the manager, ---- when I received by bill and she was extremely rude and would not listen to anything I had to say. I have never been charged anything when I moved out of other apartment complexes. Also, my neighbor was charged over $700 when she moved out. She was charged for pet stains and she didn't even own a pet. I really hope this doesn't happen to others, so beware!

yes i too have learned the cost of moving out of here but i learned my real lesson moving out of pepperidge apts..Always do a walk through with a manager they will pointe out everything that needs to be fixed. this will save you hundreds...seriously!
